Here is most likely my last entry for 2022. It’s been a crazy intense year for me, and creative expression has taken a back seat whilst I address and attend to health, and well being concerns.
My creative desire has not gone away but has been sizzling in the background as I make a few photos here and there, and even a few drawings. But it’s all been very thin on the ground. And I have felt somewhat malnourished creatively.
This photo felt really good. Both to experience in the making – being in nature with these beautiful inquisitive birds – and then to publish. A few days, weeks, years and a lifetime in the making. I have many more works waiting in the wings. I hope I get a chance to publish them sometime soon.
Wishing you a creative, and successful 2023.

Photo caption: Robin. A few days ago I was busy capturing some abstract shots of the ice crystals and frosty foliage in my park. I was busy feeling inspired but I could hear some furtive noises around me. I looked up from the viewfinder and could see a couple of robins were waiting for me to feed them. They were very curious and allowed me to take photos for a while even though I had no food for them!
I don't get a chance to photograph wildlife very often so I'm super happy this happened and managed to get some shots I like. Plus, I love robins so much, they are feisty and cute!
Processed in Lightroom. I haven't used LR in years and I'm getting used to it again.
